This highly specialised software is available from a handful of manufacturers and in varying versions and licence formats depending upon the exact requirements. InCam currently deploy and configure software from Axis and Milestone as well as some of our own in-house developed applications.
All products share the features you would expect from such software - efficient storage of video, rapid searching, ability to print hardcopy and generate video extracts.

Axis have three core software products for camera and video server support - Camera Explorer, Camera Recorder and Camera Station. |

InCam deploy Camera Explorer for Pocket PC on PDA devices such as HP iPAQ's and O2 XDA II's. This compact viewer allows switching between cameras and control of pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) cameras from the palm of your hand - either over a wireless network or a truly mobile connection. Camera Recorder is an effective video surveillance application for smaller systems up to 16 cameras. This software is configured on a powerful workstation or server and allows advanced real-time image viewing and detailed searching of recorded video. An extensive collection of features for motion-detection, alerting and camera control makes Camera Recorder a highly effective and cost sensitive tool for a small business. The only feature missing is remote access to recorded video that some software applications offer via internet connections. Product discontinued summer 2006.

Camera Station is available licensed by the precise number of cameras at a site. A high specification surveillance application capable of supporting up to 25 cameras from a single fileserver. With a feature set above Camera Recorder, Camera Station adds remote access to live and recorded imagery and presents a particularly easy to use interface with excellent search tools.

Milestone are the market-leading manufacturers of surveillance software and produce the 'X-Protect' range of titles. Milestone also have niche products to suit particular industry segments such as retail. InCam ordinarily deploy the X-Protect Professional or Enterprise products that provide a very high performance and scalable software solution for larger systems. The platform is also built upon the notion of supporting the widest possible range of IP cameras and devices and integration with key technologies such as Paxton's Net2 access control.
X-Protect is built upon a common engine and database that can make full use of the power of a fileserver - using multiple processors and advanced storage features where present for the very best performance.
X-Protect has an array of tools for monitoring and recordings. Additionally, Milestone incorporates messaging services triggered by alerts - where messages and images can be sent to a mobile phone or emailed. The optional PDA client allows remote access to live AND recorded imagery from the Professional and Enterprise products.
Milestone is available in 4 editions - Basis, Basis+, Professional and Enterprise. Basis supports 16 cameras out of the box with the most basic functionality. Basis+ is licenced by camera numbers of (4,9,16 and 25). Professional is licenced similarly up to 36 cameras.
Enterprise is licenced per organisation and then by each camera. So a company could purchase a single base licence but run several instances of the base product at different locations. You then simply pay for the number of cameras attached as individual licences. Enterprise
can handle 64 cameras per server and can be effectively custered under a single management interface, 'Central' which collates information from Enterprise servers.
Professional and Enterprise editions ship with the excellent Remote Client for network and web-based management of live and recorded images. Enterprise takes this further with the new Smart Client implementation that allows intelligent analytics to be defined to assess parts of a scene and motion events.
